The Kingdoms were proclaimed in 1992 and consist of all \quote{Border
Territories}: geographical, mental and digital. Elgaland{}-Vargaland is
the largest {--} and most populous {--} realm on Earth, incorporating
all boundaries between other nations as well as \quote{Digital Territory} and
other states of existence. Every time you travel somewhere, and every
time you enter another form of being, such as the dream state, you
visit Elgaland{}-Vargaland, the kingdom founded by Leiff Elgren
and CM von Hausswolff.

During the Venice Biennale, Elgren stated that all dead people are
inhabitants of the country Elgaland{}-Vargaland unless they had
declared that they did not want to be an inhabitant.

De
Koninkrijken werden uitgeroepen in 1992 en bestaan uit alle
geografische, mentale en digitale \quote{Grensterritoria}.
Elgaland{}-Vargaland incorporeert zowel alle grenzen tussen naties als
\quote{Digitaal Territorium} en andere \quote{staten van zijn}, en vormt aldus het
grootste {--} en dichtst bevolkte {--} rijk op aarde. Elke keer dat je
ergens naartoe reist, en elke keer dat je een andere staat van zijn
binnentreedt, zoals de droomstaat, bezoek je
Elgaland{}-Vargaland. De koninkrijken werden gesticht door Leiff Elgren en CM von Hausswolff. 

Tijdens de Bi\"ennale van Veneti\"e verklaarde Elgren dat alle
overledenen inwoners van Elgaland{}-Vargaland zijn, tenzij ze expliciet
meedelen dit niet te willen zijn.

Sinds V/J10 is een permanente ambassade van
Elgaland{}-Vargaland ondergebracht in La Bellone.}
