A large part of the Ikea catalogue is dedicated to images portraying contemporary interiors

created with Ikea objects and users interacting with the products. In the 2018 catalogue (Belgium edition)

you could find: people drinking, eating, studying, cooking, computing, chatting, flirting, dancing, playing music, etc. None of these images represented individuals cleaning or engaged in any other common maintenance task.
