“This will last for a thousand years and be will be built of steel” Renzo said. Obviously maintenance will play a great role helping Renzo’s steel bridge to reach its 1000 years goal. We wonder how maintenance has been integrated in the design process, particularly when lack of maintenance has been blamed for the collapse of the previous bridge.
